02 — Lengths
Extension Lengths
Gel X lengths follow the Apres sizing system. Choose based on your lifestyle — Gil will guide you if you're unsure when she gets in touch.
01
Short
Just past your fingertip. Practical and polished — ideal if you're on your hands a lot at work or in the gym.
02
Medium
A balanced extension that subtly elongates the fingers. Versatile and wearable for most lifestyles.
03
Long
A noticeable extension with more canvas for art. Best for clients already comfortable wearing longer nails.
04
Extra Long
Statement, editorial length. Requires mindful aftercare and regular maintenance to keep the natural nail healthy.
The longer the length, the more important regular maintenance becomes. Aim for every 2–3 weeks to keep the structure strong and your natural nail healthy underneath.
03 — Aftercare
Aftercare
Good aftercare is what makes a set last. These are the habits that matter most — simple to follow and worth it for your nail health.
-
✦
Treat your nails like jewellery Avoid using them as tools — no opening cans, scraping labels or putting pressure on the free edge.
-
✦
Protect from water & chemicals Wear gloves for dishes, cleaning and gardening. Avoid harsh chemicals and acetone-based products between appointments.
-
✦
Nourish every day Apply cuticle oil daily and follow with a light hand cream. Keeping the nail area hydrated helps your set stay flexible and last longer.
-
✦
Book regular maintenance Plan your next appointment every 2–3 weeks. Very grown-out extensions are more likely to break and can put strain on the natural nail.
-
✦
Never pick or peel Always book a professional removal — peeling extensions removes layers of your natural nail with them.
-
✦
Something feels off? Get in touch Lifting, soreness or a break can be safely corrected — reach out rather than attempting to fix it yourself.
First 24–48 hours: Be extra gentle, avoid very hot baths or saunas and try not to knock or catch the nails while everything fully sets.
